Part one
1. In my research I make a distinction between on the one hand a biological category - men - and on the other hand something that can be a little difficult to define - masculinity (남성성). So I’d like to start with your ideas on what you think masculinity is.
필자는 논문에서 생물학적인 범주에 속하는 남성과 약간은 정의하기 어려운 남성성(남자다움)을 구별 하였다. 그래서 필자는 당신이 생각하는 남성성에 대한 생각을 묻고 싶다.
2. Recently in the Korean press and media there seems to be some interest in discussing masculinity and femininity in Korea and how this has been changing. For example an article in the Chosun Ilbo is titled
한국남녀 절반이상이 ‘兩性형’ (양성형)
Mr.뷰티(예쁜 남자)… Ms.스트롱(강한 여자)

최근에 한국의 언론과 매체에서 보도되는 남성성(남자다움)과 여성성(여자다움), 그리고 이것들이 어떻게 변화하고 있는지에 대한 논의가 흥미로워 보인다. 예를 들면, 조선일보에 실린 다음과 같은 기사.
